From March 15 to 18, Cannes hosted the 33rd International Investment Exhibition of Real Estate and Urban Development MIPIM. For the first time since the break, the event brought together 20,000 representatives of the global real estate market and urban planning. Among them are investors, developers, mayors, diplomats, proptech companies and venture funds. The Ukrainian delegation at the exhibition included Intergal-Bud.
MIPIM 2022 was to be special for the Ukrainian delegation, as for the first time companies and projects from different parts of Ukraine - Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk, Lviv - were planned to gather on one stand. The delegation consisted of 100 representatives of business and government agencies, and was to be joined by the mayor of Kyiv and the ambassador of Ukraine to France.
Two weeks before the exhibition, on February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, thwarting business plans to advance its projects and forcing the Ukrainian delegation to change its plans and concept.
According to Ukraine at MIPIM organizer Anna Nestuli, the team had two main tasks - to raise funds for Ukraine, as well as to unite international community leaders and journalists to spread information about Russia's crimes and consolidate people.
On the main banners of the stand by QR-codes the guests of the exhibition could join the financial support of the Armed Forces, the Return Alive Foundation, Army SOS, the CEO Club of Ukraine Foundation, the Embassy of Ukraine in France.
It is safe to say that the mission to consolidate the international community in support of Ukraine has succeeded. On the first day of the exhibition, the Ukrainian stand was visited by the President of France 2012-2017 Francois Hollande, who also opened the MIPIM with a speech. He stressed that Ukraine's security issues are currently key on the world stage, and the war unleashed by Russia has forced everyone to change their approach to doing business.
The guests of the Ukrainian stand were also the mayors of European cities: Remigijus Šimašjus (Vilnius), Jacyk Jaskowiak (Poznań), Martins Stakis (Riga), Oleksandra Dukhnevych (Gdańsk), Dario Nardella (Florence). All of them expressed their unequivocal support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, which is currently experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe caused by the actions of the aggressor.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, who is in the capital all the time, thanked the international community at MIPIM for their participation and contribution to Ukraine's future victory.
"As the mayor of Kyiv - the capital of the state, which today is fighting heroically for its independence and freedom, I thank the international business community for its support and assistance to Ukraine, for helping our city. Kyiv, to which the Russian aggressor is so fiercely trying to break through, is today an outpost of security and freedom for the whole of Europe. Russia is killing peaceful Ukrainians, destroying Ukrainian cities and their infrastructure. After the liberation from the occupiers, we will have a lot of work to do to restore the infrastructure, we will have to rebuild the destroyed kindergartens and schools, hospitals and other facilities and enterprises, residential buildings. I thank the international companies that have already declared their readiness to join the implementation of projects to restore the infrastructure of Kyiv and the prospect of returning their offices to the Ukrainian capital. I am convinced that together we will rebuild everything! Kyiv will be reborn and become an even more beautiful and comfortable European city, " Vitaliy Klitschko said.
Intergal-Bud presented its flagship project at the exhibition - INTERGAL CITY . It is a modern mixed-use complex that combines residential and commercial real estate. We are sure that after the victory of Ukraine INTERGAL CITY will become one of the symbols of the modern architecture of Kyiv and a model of quality construction of the capital.
